The story is told from the viewpoint of a young boy as he eagerly awaits the birth of his baby sister. He vividly imagines how they will play together on the swings, on their bicycles, and with the family dog. It is a surprise for him to see how tiny the new baby really is, but he is thrilled to have her come home at last.
