Loreen created the art for There’s a Frog in My Throat! using her computer and the software program Adobe Photoshop. This detail from page 7 shows the “autograph hound” in progress. She drew this rough sketch to get started.

The art has several layers in Photoshop. The top layer has the ear, nose, eye outlines, autographs, claws, and pen lines. The pen was scanned from a book of antique art.

This layer has his body, upper legs, and eye.

The bottom layer has his lower legs, the pen color, and his teeth.
