I love shells as a motif, with their sensuous lines and their association with water. This was another experiment in combining painting with raw edge appliqué. The image consists primarily of acrylic paint on a cyan blue fabric, with a few added pieces of fabric, such as the dark brown patches on the shell. The binding is one long strip around rounded corners. It’s 8.25 inches square.
	I was thinking of adding some beads, but my 86 year old aunt insisted on having it as-is for a Christmas present, so apparently it is finished(!)
